EXCLUSIVE: Director-writer Naqsh Khalid has signed with Somesuch for worldwide representation.

Khalid is best known for his first film, On Camera.

Released in 2024 and screened by BBC Films and the BFI, it won Best First Film at the Dinard British Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and received further nominations at the BIFAs, the London Critics Circle Film Awards and the London Film Festival.

The film follows Aden (played by Nabahan Rizwan), an actor hoping to break into the British film industry, but faces a series of challenges that make him question his desire to be accepted by a system that wasn't made for him. After a cycle of nightmarish auditions and multiple rejections, he finally lands a role as the dead son of a grieving mother (Josie Walker) who receives treatment.
