End of Ahvaz's Blues' Exile / Official: Esteghlal Khuzestan Returns to Ghadir

The League Organization confirmed that Amir Khalifeh-Asl's squad will return to Ahvaz, with Ghadir Stadium designated as the venue for the match between Esteghlal Khuzestan and Shams Azar.

According to "Varzesh Se", Esteghlal Khuzestan will finally play in the Ghadir Ahvaz Stadium from the 10th week of the Premier League. The league organization officially announced that the match between Khuzestan Blues and Shams-Azer Qazvin will be held at this stadium on Sunday, November 3rd at 17:00.

Ghadir Stadium was out of reach of Esteghlal Khuzestan since last season for the renovation and improvement of the grass field. Officials hoped that this complex would be ready to host at the beginning of the new season, but the grass, which had been under cultivation for a long time, had problems again before the start of the competition and it was not possible to hold official games there.

This incident made Esteghlal Khuzestan settle in Tehran from the pre-season preparation period and hold its friendly games in the capital. Ahvaz Blues also played their home matches at Pass Stadium in Tehran and were practically deprived of the privilege of hosting and the presence of their fans in the first weeks.

Esteghlal Khuzestan even wrote a letter to transfer the match with a tractor to Ahvaz, but Ghadir Stadium was not approved during the visit of the league organization officials. The light problem, the need to strengthen parts of the grass and side defects were the reasons for continuing to host this team in Tehran. However, land reclamation operations, cleaning of the grounds and entrances, garbage collection, treatment of the sewage route and toilets continued in recent weeks.

Now the official announcement of the league organization means the end of the displacement of Esteghlal Khuzestan and the return of this team to its city. The meeting with Shams Azar will be the first match of Ahvaz Blues in Ghadir Stadium during the current season, and the fans of this team will be able to watch their team's home match in Ahvaz after a long time.

Esteghlal Khuzestan will be the guest of Zob Ahan in the 11th week after playing with Shams Azar, and then they will host Esteghlal Tehran on Saturday, November 16th in the 12th week. According to the match schedule, this match will be held at 17:30 and if the current conditions of the stadium are maintained, Ghadir will host one of the most important matches of the season in the second consecutive hosting of Khuzestan Blues.
