Reaction to the closure of the medical equipment service desk

The Director General of Medical Equipment and Necessities of the Food and Drug Organization gave an explanation in response to the closure of the service desk of the General Department of Medical Equipment.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Ali Alizadeh, in the panel examining the challenges of production and distribution of medical equipment and necessities and removing the obstacles and problems of issuing manufacturing permits at the Iran Fashion 2026 exhibition, he said: the service desk of the General Directorate of Medical Equipment has not been closed, it has only been moved to a better environment.

He added: It should be noted that the meeting request registration system that existed in the Food and Drug Organization was also implemented in the General Administration, and unfortunately, due to the vastness of this area, which cannot be transferred directly, it has created the mentality that the service desk has been closed, when in fact it was not, and it was just moved.

The Director General of Medical Equipment and Necessities of the Food and Drug Organization continued: Of course, I must say that the ideal that was in my mind has not yet been realized. However, there is always a cost to change from tradition to modernity, and the change from a chaotic structure to a regular structure is met with resistance, and this issue was no exception.

Alizadeh asked the activists of the Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Medical Equipment to present an action plan to increase the production of medical equipment and explain how to implement the law on the jump in the production of medical equipment.
