Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare announced that nursing tariffs will take effect from Aban and that recruitment exams for 4,000 healthcare workers will be held from Azar.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Ahmed Midari, in the celebration of Nurse's Day, while congratulating the nurses on this day, he expressed hope that the nursing staff will continue to serve the people successfully and provide better services to the people with better conditions.

Referring to his experience as the secretary of the Medical Insurance Council, he pointed out the difference between the concept of "regulation" in various departments and the concept of "stewardship" in the field of treatment to explain the importance of nursing and said: "In examining the meaning of this word in English, I came across an interpretation about care and service in the field of treatment; It is as if those who work in this field have a divine duty. Taking care of the patient and accompanying him is a precious and divine work, and I hope we can do our duty in providing a better environment for the treatment staff.

Nursing care is as important as surgery

Midari continued by recalling a memory of the eight-year imposed war and said: At that time, an injured person was transferred from the front to Tehran, but it was not possible to maintain and treat him in Tehran, so the patient was transferred to Shiraz. In Shiraz, there was a discussion about amputating this injured person's leg, but one of the nurses believed that amputation can be avoided with continuous care.

He added: With the care of the same nurse, there was no need to perform surgery and the treatment went well. We all have experiences like this that show that the importance of a nurse is no less than that of a doctor and a surgeon. Care before and after surgery is as important as the surgery itself and can also reduce treatment costs.

Emphasizing the importance of nursing, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare pointed out the problems of the payment system in the field of treatment and said: despite the importance of this profession, the country's financial restrictions have affected the payment system for medical services. One of the existing issues is the difference in payments between doctors, specialists, specialists and nurses; Besides that, the costs paid for medical equipment also constitute another part of the problems in this field.

The role of nurses in promoting health and reducing treatment costs

Referring to Iran's experience during the eight-year imposed war, Midari said: Iran had a significant jump in life expectancy during that period, based on some international indicators. Surveys showed that health workers and nurses in all parts of the country played an effective role in this progress; It played a role in the lack of technology or special drugs, and care and the presence of health forces in different parts of the country were very important in this situation.

Referring to the 14th government's emphasis on reforms in the way of providing health services, he added: reforms such as the establishment of a referral system and family doctor can make the position of the first level of health services more clear. In such a structure, nurses and doctors can prevent the increase in treatment costs with timely care and prevention.

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare continued: By changing the way we look at the health system and paying more attention to prevention and human resources, we should be able to provide a better situation for the people and those who work on the front line of prevention and achieve treatment goals with fairer costs.

Revival of Nursing Department in Social Security Organization

Referring to the actions of his colleagues in the Social Security Organization, Midri said: In this organization, policies and actions have been designed in the same direction, one of which is the revival of the nursing department at the headquarters and all provinces.

He added: Revival of this structure can provide a context for more coherent handling of nursing affairs, identification of deficiencies and timely adoption of necessary decisions. This structural change is also a platform for correcting the position of the forces that prevent the increase in treatment costs with timely care, prevention and intervention.

Holding an employment test for 4 thousand medical staff in December

The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare announced the program for recruiting new workers in the field of treatment and said: In December, a recruitment test will be held to attract 4,000 people from the medical staff, and new workers will be added to the group from the first of April. We hope that the process of recruiting new personnel will solve the lack of human resources in the field of treatment.
