Trump waives 100 percent tariffs on major Russian energy buyers
The US leader stated that he made this decision based on Section 115(a) of the Graham Act.
Washington, October 17. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has refused to impose 100% tariffs on Russia's main energy buyers, as stipulated in the law to tighten sanctions against Moscow.
"Pursuant to section 115(a) of the Graham Act, I hereby waive any duties under sections 112 and 113 of the Graham Act or this order," the order, posted on the White House website, reads.
Article 113 of this law sets tariffs of up to 100 percent for the five largest importers of Russian oil and gas.
