Lebanon Revokes Operating License of Iranian Bank

Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Lebanon's central bank has revoked the operating license of Iran's Bank Saderat.

Bloomberg reported on Thursday that the Central Bank of Lebanon has revoked the license of Bank Saderat Iran.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, Bloomberg said that the Central Bank of Lebanon canceled the license of Bank Saderat this week.

The head of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Karim Saeed, said that this action is in line with the imposition of similar restrictions by some countries on Iran's financial system.

After the failure of the military aggression against Iran, the United States intensified the campaign of economic pressure on the country and imposed extensive sanctions against Iran. However, many of Iran's main trade allies avoided the imposition of these sanctions, and countries such as China and Russia publicly rejected Washington's actions. This is not the first time that the Lebanese government has taken a stand with the United States against Iran, while the country continues to pay the price of trusting the United States. After the military aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, while Iran had included the ceasefire in Lebanon in the memorandum of understanding, the Lebanese government negotiated with Israel with the mediation of the United States, negotiations that still did not bear fruit and the government could not prevent Israel's military aggression against Lebanon.
