Nurse's day and nothing else!
When Nurse's Day arrives, a flood of congratulations and happiness is sent to nurses, and the story of nursing stops at this point.
Habib Ahsanipour - Health field reporter: Nursing is not just a career that you want to choose for a living. nursing and becoming a nurse and of course, staying a nurse; wants love
Field reports and surveys from hospitals and healthcare centers in the country show that the condition of nursing is not good and that something should be done as soon as possible so that the condition of nurses does not become worse than it is.
The nursing community is of the opinion that Nurse's Day revives the memory of congratulations and after that, everything will be normal again and no one knows what problems nurses are dealing with in order to be able to provide care services to people and patients.
The lack of 100,000 nursing staff in the country is a very large number that shows that the state of nursing is not good at all. Because in this situation, each nurse must serve in place of two or three and maybe even four nurses.
In your opinion, does a female nurse have the stamina to stand for 12 hours or 14 hours to take care of patients?
The physiology of the human body is designed in such a way that it should rest after every hour of hard and exhausting work so that it can take instructions from the brain again. But, when a person is supposed to be on his feet continuously and every day, at least 12 to 14 hours; Is it possible to execute the orders of the commander of the body correctly?
The nursing profession is one of the hardest jobs and the world has accepted the fact that a nurse should not work more than one shift a day. But the story of forced overtime in the hospitals of our country is not hidden from anyone.
Of course, the story does not end with the forced overtime of nurses and this group is struggling with a thousand and one problems that if one of these thousand and one problems were solved correctly; They are so reserved to deal with other problems. But, unfortunately, this is not the case and on the contrary, they are persecuted a lot.
For example, many of the care or treatment services provided by nurses in hospital departments, the money goes into other pockets and this story has been happening for years, but there is no will to solve this problem.
Instead of hearing congratulatory messages from the authorities, nurses expect that a plan will be devised to solve their problems so that we do not see an increase in their leaving work every day.
Unfortunately, the conditions of nursing in the country, especially in the big cities, are such that they have no motivation to stay and serve, and they give up the gift of nursing and go for another job or choose to stay at home.
The presidents of all three universities of medical sciences in Tehran (Shahid Beheshti, Iran, Tehran) unanimously complain about the lack of nursing staff in the affiliated hospitals of their universities, and at the same time; They also know the cause of shortages. But, what's the point when they can't do anything.
The conditions of nursing in Tehran metropolis are much more difficult than the cities of Sistan and Baluchistan province. Because the shortage of nursing staff in the capital has reached a crisis point and this issue has made the work of other nurses difficult.
Inappropriate tariff, small amount of overtime, delay in the payment of labor and other problems that have caused job burnout of nursing staff.
But they only see congratulations on Nurse's Day and nothing else!
Nurses expect their appreciation to be translated into executive actions and to see the result in their paychecks and improvement of their living conditions.
