Rudan to Host 4th National Lime Festival and 2nd National Date Festival / An Opportunity to Develop Agritourism

The Deputy for Tourism at the Hormozgan Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts announced the holding of the 4th National Lime Festival and the 2nd National Date Festival in Rudan County, aimed at introducing agricultural capacities and developing agritourism.

Deputy Director of Tourism of Hormozgan General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts announced the holding of "Fourth National Lemon Festival" and "Second National Date Festival" in Rodan city with the aim of introducing agricultural capacities and developing agricultural tourism.

According to the report of Aria Heritage reporter, Salim Mohammadi said on Tuesday, October 21, 1405: Rodan city, as one of the important agricultural hubs of Hormozgan province, will once again host two national events in the field of garden products and vegetables, which can be the basis for introducing the capabilities of the region and promoting tourism.

The Deputy Director of Tourism of Hormozgan General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: Identifying investment opportunities, introducing the production and horticultural capacities of the region and providing a link between agriculture and tourism are among the important goals of holding these festivals.

Referring to the capacity of these events for the development of agricultural tourism, he stated: Tourists' familiarity with the lemon gardens and groves of Rodan, local products and methods of production and harvesting of agricultural products can create a different experience from traveling to this city. Also, holding product-oriented festivals provides a good opportunity to introduce the natural and cultural attractions of the region, support local producers and strengthen the economy of the host communities.

Mohammadi pointed out: holding these festivals can help to stabilize the position of Rodan as the land of lemons and dates in the tourism destinations of the province and provide the basis for the expansion of agricultural tourism and attract more tourists.
