556 Hazard-Prone Areas Identified along Mazandaran Coast

SARI — The deputy governor for political, security and social affairs of Mazandaran Province announced the completion of 47 sea projects across 556 hazard-prone areas along the province's coastline.

Sari - Political, Security and Social Vice Governor of Mazandaran announced the end of 47 sea projects in 556 accident-prone areas of the province's coasts.

According to Mehr reporter, Mostafa Sawadkohi, in an interview with reporters on Thursday afternoon, referring to the statistics of sea accidents this summer, said: despite the large presence of travelers and tourists on the coasts of the province, the number of drowning victims has decreased by 30% compared to the summer of last year.

Explaining the measures taken for beach management, Swadekohi added: This summer, 47 sea plans were active in 556 accident-prone areas of Mazandaran beaches to provide services related to the safety and management of the presence of swimmers and tourists.

He stated that despite the measures taken, 33 people lost their lives in marine accidents, and emphasized the importance of continuing preventive programs and increasing public attention to safety points on the beaches.
