Need for 450,000 Quran Copies Estimated in Deprived Areas
Lanouri, citing the identification of some 9,500 locations in deprived areas in need of Quranic resources, said that approximately 450,000 copies of the Quran are needed to provide an average of 50 copies per location.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, religious and religious consensus of Quran and mosque was held in the presence of Hajjaj Islam Ali Melanuri, head of coordination staff of cultural and artistic centers of the country's mosques and Hamidreza Arbab Soleimani, head of the Supreme Center of Quran and Atrat and the officials and assistants of these two collections were held at the Supreme Center of Quran and Atrat.
More than 70% of mosque centers consider Quranic activity as the first priority
Referring to the results of the survey of cultural and artistic centers of mosques, Melanuri said: more than 70% of the centers have introduced Quranic activities as their first priority; A capacity that is still active despite financial limitations and lack of support in some collections and shows the necessity of more planning in the field of Quran and Atrat.
He also said about the program to identify the innovative capacities of centers: in the form of a call, about a thousand centers were initially selected for participation, and after interviews and reviews, 75 people made it to the next stages. The results of this process are also documented in a report.
Emphasizing the necessity of providing the Holy Quran, Nahj al-Balagha and Sahifa Sajjadiyeh for mosques, the head of the coordinating staff of the cultural and artistic centers of the country said: the initial estimate includes about 9,500 places in rural areas, nomads, the outskirts of cities and underprivileged areas. Of course, this estimate should be completed with more detailed investigations.
Stating that the provision of these resources should not be limited to government agencies, he emphasized the participation of benefactors, public institutions and cultural groups and added: In some areas, benefactors have entered the field to provide the Quran needed by mosques. Also, copies of the Qur'an with appropriate translation and the same visual features, as well as Nahj al-Balagha and Sahifa Sajjadiyeh with a translation that can be used by the public, should be provided to the audience.
Referring to the lack of cultural and educational facilities in some deprived areas, including rural and border areas, Melanuri noted: In some places, people's access to basic religious education is also limited; Therefore, cultural planning should be based on the field knowledge of the real needs of the people.
Weakness of support, from the challenges of mosque centers
Criticizing the weak support of the cultural and artistic centers of mosques, he said: In the past years, we have lost the brand and position of these centers to some extent, and one of the reasons for this is insufficient support. Cultural activists use part of their power and motivation to work in the mosque, and one cannot expect the continuation of the same motivation without appropriate support, simply by demanding a performance report.
The head of the coordinating staff of cultural and artistic centers of the mosques of the country emphasized on reviewing the cooperation agreements and defining the obligations according to the executive capacities and said: cooperation with other institutions should lead to real and continuous support for the centers.
He also called for strengthening the connection of mosque activities with Quranic and art festivals and stated: Aayat festival should rely on the artistic power of mosque centers so that teenagers and young people can develop their talents in fields such as filmmaking, playwriting and acting. Performing short plays with religious and revolutionary themes, taken from Nahj al-Balagha or Martyrs' Memoirs, is one of the capacities that can be used at low cost in the mosque environment.
In the end, by emphasizing the link between the Quran and Atrat and the necessity of synergizing cultural and religious collections, strengthening joint cooperation, using the capacity of the media, and the participation of benefactors are among the ways to develop Quranic activities and improve the status of mosques.
