The Tesla car flew

Tesla unveiled the roadster car with the ability to fly during a ceremony.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, citing Ambassador Arjan, in this ceremony, the car took off from a ramp using compressed air engines and performed a demonstration in the air.

During the show, the roadster was launched from the ramp, bounced in the air and was able to reach a speed of about 97 km/h in less than a second.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, said at the SpaceX test site in Texas: "It turns out that there are really flying cars in the future."

Lars Moravi, vice president of automotive engineering at Tesla, also added: "Flying cars are real."

On October 15, 2026, Tesla officially unveiled the new and redesigned generation of the Roadster during a live event.

In this breath-taking display, the new roadster sped up a huge curved ramp. The car used a system based on fan suction to stick to the ramp surface while moving. This process continued until the car was completely upside down. Then, using integrated cold-gas thrusters developed in collaboration with SpaceX, it took off from the ramp, bounced through the air, and finally landed successfully on Earth.

In another demonstration, the Roadster bounced off a line of cars and a trailer truck, flipped through the air, and landed safely on the other side of the barriers.

Musk said at the event that some versions of the Roadster can go from zero to 97 km/h in less than a second, and their top speed will exceed 230 mph (about 370 km/h).

Tesla managers announced at the ceremony that the production of this car will start in 2028.

Elon Musk and other Tesla executives did not reveal details about the final price of the car at Thursday's event. However, the said company had announced its base price of 200 thousand dollars nearly a decade ago.
