According to Aria's heritage report, citing the public relations of the Center for the Development of Documentary, Experimental and Animated Cinema, "The Story of the Last Year" is a narrative of the challenges of online education from the days of the outbreak of the Corona virus and the last year of the service of a second grade primary school teacher, a teacher who is on the verge of retirement and faces the new conditions of online education.

Contrary to the common methods of virtual education, this teacher refuses to send photos and videos of himself. This issue worries the principal of the school; A manager who is in his last year of service and tries to maintain the credit and reputation of his 30 years of management.
