Warning of Shiraz fire chief about upcoming rains

Shiraz- The head of the Shiraz Fire Department, referring to the weather warnings about the upcoming rain, warned about the danger of flooding and asked the citizens to take safety precautions seriously.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Hadi Eidipour, referring to meteorological warnings about rainfall and the possibility of accidents due to flooding, emphasized the necessity of observing safety precautions to save the lives of citizens and said: In case of any accident or seeing dangerous conditions, citizens should contact the 125 system so that the fire brigade will be on the scene in the shortest possible time to provide assistance.

He continued by emphasizing on refraining from traveling on the banks of rivers and waterways: even the flow of water with a height of more than 10 cm can carry people away and increase the risk of being caught in the flood. Therefore, citizens should avoid these areas.

The head of Shiraz Municipality's fire department and safety services also asked citizens to avoid public roads in adverse weather conditions if they do not have essential work.

Check the water exit routes from the roofs

Referring to the importance of preparing buildings for rain, Eidipour added: Citizens should check the gutters and water exit routes from the roofs and make sure that these routes are open and not blocked.

It is forbidden to enter blocked routes

Emphasizing the necessity of paying attention to the warnings of the rescue forces, he stated: Citizens should not enter the roads blocked by the rescue forces and refrain from unnecessary gathering at the place of incidents.

The head of Shiraz Municipality's fire department and safety services also asked the citizens to refrain from going to heights, mountains and surrounding areas during the rains in order to prevent possible accidents.
