Israeli Attack Postponed Until After Elections!
Alongside the Israeli army's readiness for possible renewed clashes with Iran, rising casualties from operational incidents have raised serious questions about troop safety, commanders' performance, and the wear of this regime's military structure after nearly three years of war on multiple fronts.
According to ambassador Arjan; The estimation of the security institutions indicates that if they do not attack at this stage, it is possible that the confrontation will be postponed to the period after the elections. Meanwhile, a series of deadly incidents in the Israeli army has highlighted the need to review the way missions are carried out and safety guidelines are followed.
Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, a total of 1,319 Israeli security forces have been killed, 1,154 of whom were army personnel. According to the statistics presented in this report, 160 soldiers have lost their lives in operational accidents since the beginning of the war; A statistic that constitutes about 14% of the military casualties of the Israeli army.
These figures have once again drawn attention to incidents that, unlike direct battlefield casualties, may be preventable with stricter compliance with regulations, better planning, and faster response by relief forces.
The death of an officer and questions about command
The latest case was the death of Capt. Eliao Haim Tespalmos, a 21-year-old officer from Haifa, in an operational incident on Thursday. Three other soldiers were also injured in this incident.
After this incident, questions have been raised about the way the mission was planned by the commanders of the 7th Armored Brigade and the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion. Including why, contrary to the mentioned instructions, instead of two cars, only one car was sent to the mission and why the arrival of the auxiliary force to rescue the officer trapped under the car was delayed.
These questions still need careful investigation, but their importance goes beyond a single incident; Because how the commanders make decisions and the speed of reaction in emergency situations can play a vital role in determining the fate of the injured forces.
Similar incidents are not limited to this. After Thursday's incident, two more incidents were reported in southern Lebanon; In one of them, an ammunition explosion injured two soldiers from the Kafir brigade, and in another incident, one of the 188th brigade was injured due to the explosion of ammunition inside the tank.
Last month, two Israeli reservists, 24-year-old Nadav Keli and 23-year-old Ofek Moalam, died in the north of the Gaza Strip. These two were working with an "Atalaf" type offensive drone, and after it fell in the base area, they approached the device to check the situation; But the bomb with the drone exploded.
Army exhaustion after a multi-front war
In this report, it is emphasized that maintaining operational readiness, handling equipment, preventing negligence and monitoring the execution of daily missions are the main responsibilities of commanders at all levels. Even seemingly simple missions can turn into deadly accidents if safety principles are neglected.
However, the continuation of the war on several fronts has put a lot of pressure on the military. After nearly three years of conflict, the Israeli army is facing the fatigue of the troops, the exhaustion of the equipment and the need to maintain readiness in long-term conditions.
In a situation where the possibility of resuming the confrontation with Iran is still raised, the repetition of operational incidents can become a double challenge for the army, which must simultaneously maintain its combat power and reduce preventable casualties among its forces. Reviewing the performance of commanders, complying with safety instructions and managing the exhaustion of troops are among the most important issues that these incidents have once again put in the spotlight.
