In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Abolfazl Saroukian, referring to the holding of the national architectural photography event "Dalan", said: Considering the vast cultural and historical capacities of Kashan, the need to preserve the tangible and intangible heritage of Kashan and support cultural and artistic activities is felt more than ever.

Stating that the city of Kashan is known for having many tangible and intangible works, he expressed: Works such as the Fine Garden as a tangible heritage and the ritual of carpet washers and the skill of carpet weaving as an intangible heritage are part of the valuable capacities of the cultural region of Kashan.

The mayor of Kashan stated: The common denominator of all these capacities is the capability of manpower and the citizens of this city, who have been able to register such magnificent and valuable works for the cultural region of Kashan.

He continued: "If today we don't have the possibility to improve some of these capacities, we should at least move in the direction of preserving and honoring them." In this regard, the issue of "learning city" and "creative city" has been taken into consideration and efforts have been made to provide human-centered growth in urban planning.

Emphasizing the use of the city's capacities for greater participation of citizens in cultural and artistic fields, Saroukian said: We must provide opportunities so that the citizens of Kashan can have a share in the growth of the city and its pride.

He considered holding the first national architectural photography event "Dalan" in the same direction and said: the art of photography, due to its special features, provides the possibility of recording moments and events in history and has valuable artistic indicators. Holding this event can create a link between the art of photography and architecture.

The mayor of Kashan expressed his hope that this event will be promoted to the international level in the future and added: holding such programs is in line with the policies of the organization, and in the annual budget of the organization, there are lines for the implementation of cultural and artistic programs.

He pointed out: creativity in this field can provide support for culture and art through different lenses and in different dimensions. For this purpose, different budget lines have been considered to support this area.

At the end, the mayor of Kashan pointed out the importance of cooperation between citizens and artists and said: the presence of artists from all over the country in the form of national programs, in addition to creating interaction and exchange of experience, can help the progress and promotion of art in the city of Kashan.
