British Military Drill Simulating Seizure of the Falkland Islands

The British Army is holding a military exercise simulating an operation to seize the Falkland Islands, which are disputed with Argentina.

The Times newspaper announced the holding of a military exercise by the British Army to simulate the operation of occupying disputed islands with Argentina.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, the Times of England newspaper announced that the country's military forces conducted a maneuver during which they simulated the deployment and occupation of the disputed Falkland Islands.

According to this report, the maneuver of the British military reflected the events of Operation Sutton in May 1982 and repelling the Argentine invasion.

The Times added that the military exercise was held in October with the participation of 150 British paratroopers and 100 volunteers.

In this maneuver, amphibious landing operations, night movement at distances of more than 30 kilometers and close combat in rocky terrain were simulated. Air cover was also provided by a Typhoon fighter.

Despite the fact that the British Army conducts such exercises in the mentioned islands, but for the first time, a combat operation scenario was simulated.
