According to Mehr reporter, Utkir Yusupov, the goalkeeper of the Uzbekistan national football team, spoke about his decision to forego his $105,000 salary to leave the Iranian club (Foulad Khuzestan) and return to the Nobahar team.

In a conversation with Uzbekistan's "kun" media, he said: I was injured in the national team's match against Iran. After that, I underwent surgery and went through a period of recovery and rehabilitation. When I got back to my gym, I was on the bench. Since the World Cup was coming up, I really needed to be in matches and play. That's why I decided to leave.

Yahya Golmohammadi, our head coach, was a very good person. I went to him and explained the situation. He said: No, we need you. Stay, you will play. But deep down I wanted to leave the club.

Yusupov explained: Different teams from Uzbekistan called me and made offers. Especially Namangan clubs were very interested in recruiting me. Even though I told them that my assignment with the Iranian club has not yet been determined, they told me to come and sign a contract. If you are unable to resolve your situation, we will terminate the contract. Finally, I went to the president of the club and explained the situation to him. I said I have to prepare for the World Cup and play regularly. He replied: "If the head coach allows it, I will agree to your separation."

I went to the head coach and he agreed. I went back to the head of the club again, but this time he said that the head coach did not allow it. This situation continued for some time; They neither gave me my money nor allowed me to separate.
