Russian Diesel Expected to Reach US Market Within Two Weeks

Russia Agrees to Supply 'Very Significant Quantity'

New York, October 15. /TASS/. The US expects Russian diesel to reach the US market within the next two weeks, the New York Post reported, citing sources.

If we go all out, the fuel "should be here in the next two weeks," one source said, adding that Russia had agreed to supply a "very significant" amount. Therefore, according to the newspaper, Russian diesel is expected to enter the US market before the November 3 midterm elections.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation on October 9, in which they discussed, among other things, the supply of petroleum products. The Russian President said that Moscow has once again emphasized its readiness to supply oil and oil products to America and the world markets. According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Russia will lift the diesel export ban ahead of schedule and is ready to supply 300,000 tons of diesel in October, increasing the volume to 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons in December. Monthly reserves can subsequently reach 3 million tons. The US government, in turn, issued a general license to supply Russian diesel to the world market until April 7, 2027.
