On October 15, 2026, two major global payment companies, Visa and Mastercard, unveiled new services based on stablecoins. The service allows businesses to use cryptocurrency balances to fund international payments; A move that can expand the role of USDC stablecoin in the traditional financial system.

According to CryptoSlate, Visa has started its business partnership with Inyo Global and MasterCard has introduced a new platform in partnership with BVNK. In Safir Arjan, we examine the details of these collaborations and the limitations of their implementation.

Visa allows eligible business customers to fund international payments with USDC through its Visa Direct service. This feature has entered the commercial phase in collaboration with Inyo Global.

Using the BVNK infrastructure, MasterCard also provides the possibility of converting stablecoins into common currencies and depositing it directly to the recipients' bank accounts.

According to the announced plan, MasterCard plans to expand the coverage of these services to more than 40 currencies and 200 countries and regions by 2027. Therefore, this universal coverage is not yet fully implemented.

The new services are currently focused on businesses, banks and financial technology companies, and public access to them depends on geographic conditions and local regulations.

Recipients don't necessarily need a cryptocurrency wallet either; Because the payment can go into their bank account in local currency.

Ambassador Arjan's analysts believe that Visa and MasterCard's wider entry into stablecoin-based payments could boost the adoption of USDC in international financial services. However, this does not necessarily lead to the growth of the price of other digital currencies. For Iranian users, sanctions restrictions are still an important obstacle in accessing such services. The development of these infrastructures is considered to be a sign of increasing the commercial use of blockchain in the global payment system.
