Russian opposition trying to destroy US diesel deal - Dmitriev
The head of RDIF stressed that this deal is beneficial not only for Russia, but also for the United States and global markets.
Moscow, October 14. /TASS/. Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the presidential special envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week (REW), many opponents of Russia are trying to derail the diesel agreement with the United States, but this is in the interest of all parties involved.
As [Deputy Prime Minister] Aleksandr Novak pointed out, opponents of the diesel deal — including those from Europe — forget that Europe itself bought $320 billion in Russian energy resources. They try to dispute this figure, but I believe it is accurate. Therefore, many opponents are trying to derail the deal with the United States.
The Russian Energy Week international forum will be held in Moscow from October 14 to 16 with the support of the Russian government, the Ministry of Energy and the Moscow government. The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. TASS is the information partner of this event.
