Salar Moradi: Preserving National Cohesion and Countering the Enemy's Cognitive Warfare Is Essential

Sanandaj – The lawmaker for the people of Sanandaj, Kamyaran, and Divandarreh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stressing the need to preserve national cohesion, said the enemy is using cognitive warfare to undermine hope, public trust, and social solidarity in the country.

According to Mehr reporter, Salar Moradi said on Thursday evening in the crowd of people and participants in the night gathering in Sanandaj: the country is facing a multifaceted and combined war in the current situation, which in addition to the military field, also includes the areas of diplomacy, economy, international relations and public opinion.

He added: One of the most important aspects of this war is the cognitive war, in which the enemy, instead of a direct confrontation, tries to take away hope from the society and weaken public trust by influencing people's minds and attitudes.

The representative of the people of Sanandaj, Kamiyaran and Diwandara in the Islamic Council stated: Inducing despair and stalemate, exaggerating problems, distorting facts, creating bipolarity in society, normalizing corruption and inefficiency, weakening public trust and creating social fatigue are among the tools that the enemy uses to weaken the country.

The necessity of vigilance against rumors and distortion of facts

Referring to the spread of fake news and rumors in the country's media, Moradi said: The high volume of untrue news and the wide coverage of some rumors show that the society should be more vigilant against cognitive warfare than in the past.

He continued: The enemy is trying to make people believe that the country is at a dead end and there is no way to overcome the problems by exaggerating the problems and making the facts look upside down. While distinguishing reality from advertisements and fake news, requires insight and public awareness.

Emphasizing the necessity of maintaining unity and empathy in the country's sensitive situation, this member of parliament noted: When the country is facing pressure in the military, economic, media and diplomatic fields at the same time, the creation of differences and social divisions can provide the basis for the realization of the enemy's goals.

Dealing with corruption and inefficiency is a necessity to maintain public trust

Emphasizing the necessity of dealing with possible violations and abuses in critical situations, Moradi said: National cohesion does not mean abandoning supervision and some people should not be allowed to abuse war conditions for personal benefits and put more pressure on people's livelihood.

He added: In addition to performing their duties, officials should be accountable for people's problems; Because the inappropriate performance, negligence and shortcoming of some managers can weaken public trust and increase the distance between people and officials.

The representative of the people of Sanandaj, Kamiyaran and Diwandara in the Islamic Council, referring to the importance of monitoring the performance of the institutions, said: Dealing with corruption and inefficiency, as well as transparent information about the positive actions of officials, play an important role in maintaining social capital and strengthening people's trust.

Moradi emphasized: Iranian people are standing by the work of the country and the system even in difficult situations, and they deserve that the authorities reduce their livelihood and economic problems with more effort.

The parliament is with the people and in the pursuit of demands

In another part of his speech, explaining the actions of the Islamic Council, he said: In recent circumstances, the parliament has continued its legislative and regulatory activities, along with supporting the country and the armed forces.

Moradi added: Parliament sessions, commissions and supervisory meetings were held with the aim of following up on the country's issues, and the representatives also use their legal tools to demand from the executive bodies.

Emphasizing that supporting the country should not mean ignoring problems, he said: maintaining national unity and performing supervisory duties are two complementary issues, and the representatives should prevent further problems by following the people's demands.

Referring to the importance of people's livelihood, this member of parliament also pointed out that preserving the national interests, the country's honor and deterrence power should be one of the main priorities of the authorities in addition to paying attention to the economic needs of the people.

The unity of the people of Kurdistan is a response to the enemy's calculations

Appreciating the presence of the people of Kurdistan province in the night gatherings, Moradi said: Despite the ethnic, religious, political and economic differences, the people of this province have maintained their unity and solidarity in the sensitive conditions of the country.

He added: The enemy was trying to use social divisions to weaken internal unity, but the presence of the people and their support for the country showed that these calculations did not come to fruition.

The representative of the people of Sanandaj, Kamiyaran and Diwandara in the Islamic Council, praising the organizers of the night gatherings, executive forces, popular activists and people who participated in these programs without notice, said: the continuation of this presence is the result of the efforts of a group of people and executive agents, many of whom have fulfilled their responsibilities without being seen.

In the end, by honoring the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the imposed war, and other martyrs of the country, Moradi emphasized the necessity of preserving unity, strengthening social hope, dealing with people's problems and dealing intelligently with the enemy's cognitive warfare.
