Uncertain Future of Iran's Unluckiest Volleyball Player

As the Volleyball Premier League approaches, there is still no news of Meisam Salehi's new team, and the future of one of Iran's most newsworthy volleyball talents remains shrouded in uncertainty.

According to "Varzesh Se", Meisham Salehi, the former power receiver of the Iranian national volleyball team, returned to the field last year after being away from the field for about a year, and played in the Premier League of Volleyball wearing the Mes Rafsanjan shirt. A return that could have been a new beginning for this unlucky star, but it was soon accompanied by a tragic event.

In his team's match against Mehrgan Noor, Salehi landed on his knee in an inappropriate way while performing the waterfall and got injured. This incident stopped the game and after performing basic medical procedures, he was taken off the field with the help of Mes Rafsanjan's medical staff. The subsequent investigations indicated that the cruciate ligament was torn in this player's leg; A serious injury that once again removed him from the first level of volleyball. This happened to the point where Salehi even thought of saying goodbye to the world of volleyball, but in the end, he gave up on this decision.

Now, due to the history of serious injuries of this player, including shoulder injury and cruciate ligament tear, his status for the continuation of his professional career is not clear. As the Premier League of Volleyball is about to start, apparently Salehi does not yet have a team for the new season and it seems that for now he is focusing on the process of treatment and recovery of physical fitness. It remains to be seen when this former star of the national team will return to the field and whether he will get another chance to shine in Iranian volleyball.
