The president of North Khorasan Shamali University of Medical Sciences continued: The increase in the number of nursing staff compared to last year is a step towards strengthening the medical staff, but this increase is not enough to solve the existing shortages and meet the needs of medical centers, and planning to provide the required staff is still necessary.

He also pointed to the capacity of the hospitals under the North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences and said: 1,449 active beds have been reported in these centers. Based on the provided statistics, the ratio of nurses to active beds is one and the ratio of total nursing staff to available beds is 1.02.
The president of North Khorasan-Shamali University of Medical Sciences emphasized: Accurate assessment of the needs of medical centers, paying attention to the standard indicators of manpower and proportional distribution of forces can be effective in planning to attract nurses, reduce inequality among medical centers and improve the quality of patient care.
