He added: Kurdistan has always faced sensitivities due to the special cultural and social conditions and the amount of propaganda of the opposing currents. However, holding national and religious ceremonies and the presence of people in these programs is an important capacity to strengthen the relationship between the people and the system.

The head of Kurdistan Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council stated that the final evaluation of this process should be done based on the level of participation and satisfaction of the people, and stated: The widespread presence of people and the increase in the quality of programs can provide the basis for strengthening social capital and public participation.

Night gatherings are the arena of people's creativity

In response to Mehr reporter's question about how to turn people's temporary presence into continuous and conscious participation, Hojjatul Islam Sadat said: Night gatherings after the martyrdom of the leader of the revolution have provided the basis for the emergence of people's talents and creativity in the cultural, social and political fields.

Referring to the widespread production of slogans, poems, heart writings and speeches related to the resistance, he said: In the past, an important part of the content of ceremonies was limited to well-known slogans, but now we are witnessing the production of various works that are formed by people's own initiative.

The head of Kurdistan's Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council continued: Even the writings on popular placards can carry social and political messages and views; Also, the way of managing programs and cultural activities in communities shows the capacities that exist in people's participation.

He considered these gatherings to be a field for university research in the fields of sociology, political science and social studies and added: the various dimensions of this social presence should be investigated in order to pay attention to its capacities and lesser-known aspects.

Kurdistan is facing some sensitivities due to the cultural and social conditions and the propaganda of opposing currents. However, national and religious ceremonies and the presence of people in them are an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the people and the system.

Emphasizing that the continuity of popular gatherings depends on avoiding monotony and using new ideas, Hojjatul Islam Sadat said: The presence of different age groups, men and women, and the participation of families is a valuable capacity that should be strengthened with diverse cultural and artistic programs.

He added: The activity of cultural stands, art programs, relief and military trainings, as well as discussion groups and explanations of current issues can help increase people's participation.

The head of Kurdistan Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council pointed out the role of speeches and dialogues formed in the gatherings and pointed out: Jihad to explain and respond to people's concerns should be one of the important parts of these programs so that the issues and demands raised among the people are taken into consideration in the way of forming social and cultural dialogues.

Transferring the concepts of the revolution to the young generation is a priority

In response to Mehr reporter's question about the council's plans for effective communication with the youth generation, Hojatul Islam Sadat said: "Transferring the teachings and historical narratives of the Islamic Revolution to the new generation is even more important than just holding ceremonies."

He added: Some of today's teenagers and young people do not have direct knowledge of the events before the revolution, the early years of the victory of the revolution and the war period, and if the documentary narrative of these events is not transmitted correctly, other narratives may replace it.

The head of Kurdistan Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council pointed to the effect of virtual space on the formation of the attitude of the new generation and said: using understandable language for teenagers and young people and using communication tools that suit their needs is a serious necessity in cultural activities.

He informed about the efforts to use the capacity of educated teenagers and young people, students, and activists of religious bodies in planning and said: receiving the suggestions of these groups, taking advantage of their creativity, encouraging them to attend national and religious occasions, and providing a context for cultural camps, are among the measures that are followed to strengthen the participation of the new generation.

People's satisfaction, cultural performance evaluation criterion

Hojat-ul-Islam Sadat stated that it is not possible to measure cultural activities with quantitative indicators only, and stated: the amount of people's attendance, the quality of program implementation, and the satisfaction of participants are among the criteria that can be considered in evaluating the performance of national and religious occasions.

He added: The variety of programs, the quality of the ceremony, the content presented, the performance of presenters and speakers, and paying attention to the interests of the audience, are all effective in evaluating the success rate of programs, and surveys and public feedback can be used to identify strengths and weaknesses.

Using understandable language for teenagers and young people and using communication tools that suit their needs is a serious necessity in cultural activities.

The head of Kurdistan Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council, referring to the number of institutions active in the field of culture, said: One of the problems of cultural activities is the parallel work and isolated action of some institutions. A problem that sometimes causes capacities not to be fully used.

Sadat stated that the philosophy of establishing the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council was also to create convergence between organizations, and continued: About 25 organizations are members of this council and efforts are being made to use the capacity of executive and cultural groups to hold national and religious events.

He also explained about the difference between the duties of the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council and the Islamic Propaganda Organization: activities such as organizing the affairs of religious delegations, mosques and sending missionaries are in the area of responsibility of the Islamic Propaganda Organization; While the coordination and implementation of national and religious occasions and the production of related cultural items are among the missions of the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council.

The head of Kurdistan's Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council added: These two groups can work together on different occasions, but their missions and legal duties are not the same.

The necessity of support of executive bodies for national and religious programs

Referring to the headquarters nature of the Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council, Sadat said: This council is mostly responsible for the coordinating and supporting role to create coherence between the institutions, and the proper implementation of the ceremonies is not possible without the cooperation and accompaniment of the executive and cultural groups.

Stating that the limitation of financial resources and facilities increases the necessity of the participation of other institutions, he asked the executive and cultural groups of the province to use their capacities to properly hold national and religious ceremonies.

In the end, the head of Kurdistan Islamic Propaganda Coordinating Council listed the popularization of occasions, special attention to teenagers and young people, and providing the context for effective participation of women among the priorities of this council and emphasized: the realization of these goals requires the synergy of institutions and the use of people's power and creativity in cultural and revolutionary programs.
