The TNA World Championship is the company's top prize, and adding your name to the title's rich legacy is a worthy cause for any professional wrestler.

There's enough pressure for anyone, but adding a hit to history on top of that is almost too much. That's what Leon Slater was trying to achieve at Bound for Glory on Sunday night in Tampa, Florida. If Slater defeats Nick Nemeth, he will become the youngest TNA World Champion in the history of the promotion at the age of 22. The opportunity came a few months after Slater nearly became the X Division's longest reigning champion.

Pressure can crush anyone who can't handle it. It can also make diamonds.

Slater survived the Skull Crushing and Rough Ryder finals. He superkicks Nemeth and puts his opponent in the Swanton 450 position. He hit the move but Nemeth kicked out of the pin. He tried again, but Nemet brought up his knees and almost pinned him in the same sequence.

Nemeth hit a danger zone and tried to pin Slater, but to no avail.

Slaughter went as deep as he could. He fought every chance he got out of the path of danger that Slater brought with him. Slater went off the turnbuckle and onto the floor to find Nemeth slipping. As he pushed Nemeth back into the ring, Nemeth moved out of the way of the third Swanton 450. Instead, Slater soared across the ring and nailed a splash.

Slater became the youngest TNA World Champion, proving that the "Youngest In Charge" is certainly that.

Nemet's reign ends in 105 days. This was his second stint as world champion.

Slater now holds the title and has etched his name into the TNA history books.
