Africa Energy Week Opens in Cape Town, South Africa

Russia is represented by nearly twenty companies at AEW

Pretoria, October 12. /TASS/. Africa Energy Week (AEW), the largest event of its kind on the continent, has kicked off in Cape Town in southwestern South Africa, eNCA television reported.

About 10,000 delegates from all sectors of the energy sector, including personnel from 1,500 companies in more than 100 countries, are expected to attend in Cape Town, the report said. The main theme of this year's event is "Investing in African Energy: Affordable and Abundant Energy Additives".

Russia is represented in AEW by almost twenty companies. On October 13, a Russian trade mission with the national brand Made in Russia will be held as part of the event. The mission includes 13 companies interested in developing partnerships with businesses in South Africa and other African countries. The Russian Export Center organizes this mission. The Russia-Africa Energy Investment Forum will be held on October 15 and will showcase the most promising projects in the energy sector. The main goal of this association is to turn partnerships into viable business projects.

The Africa Energy Week program includes around 100 key events, including investment forums and business workshops. The main goal of this event is to attract capital to the African energy sector for the exploration and development of new fields, the expansion of energy infrastructure, primarily in the gas industry, and the implementation of advanced production methods, including in the green energy sector. Ensuring Africa's energy security is one of the key issues on the agenda. AEW will continue until October 16th.
