Yasouj - In response to the criticism of food quality, Yasouj University's student vice president announced the change of contractor and dealing with the offending force.
In an interview with Mehr reporter, Seyed Karamat Hashemi, referring to handing over food preparation and cooking to a new contractor, said: satisfaction with the taste and quality of food is somewhat subjective due to the difference in tastes, and there is a possibility of dissatisfaction of some students.
He added: "Students' satisfaction with food and services is measured on a weekly basis, and due to past complaints, the contractor has been changed with the aim of improving quality and meeting the standards of preparation of raw materials and cooking."
Confirming the protest of a number of students in the past day, the student vice president of Yasouj University claimed that external factors and people with biased motives have played a role in the formation of tensions by inciting students and are seeking to discredit the university.
Referring to the use of first-class raw materials and hot meat in the preparation of food, he said: monitoring the quality of food is not limited to one person and contractors, supervisors, nutritionists, internal managers and health experts play a role in this field.
He continued: The weekly monitoring forms are checked online in the three sections of health, quantity and quality, and cameras and supervisors also monitor the contractor's performance.
Hashemi attributed the change of the previous contractor to the dissatisfaction of the students and receiving numerous messages in this regard and said: This issue was discussed in the meeting of the university's board of directors and finally the decision was made to change the contractor to improve the conditions and satisfy the students.
There is a possibility of incomplete cooking of some foods
Referring to the daily food volume of the university, the nutrition contractor of the university said: about two thousand food presses are prepared and distributed daily, and there is a possibility that some of the foods are not fully cooked.
Maboud Mansouri, referring to the margins created after the publication of food images in cyberspace, attributed the recent problem to the performance of the food distribution force and added: due to negligence, this force was dealt with and he was officially removed from work.
Stating that raw materials are supplied daily and fresh, he said: The quality of food has improved compared to the past and these changes were made with the aim of increasing the satisfaction of students.
The food contractor of Yasouj University also criticized what he called the exaggeration of problems in cyberspace and said: "Some people with personal motives should not be allowed to ignore the efforts of the complex and question its performance."
