The VisionQuest series is the latest series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has received average scores from critics.
The VisionQuest series is a superhero and science fiction television series created by Terry Matalas for the Disney Plus online service. Adapted from the character Vision in Marvel comics, this series is known as a spin-off of the 2021 WandaVision series and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The story of the series focuses on Vision, an artificial being with a human appearance, who tries to know his true identity. In order to achieve this goal, he communicates with the artificial intelligence characters that are embedded in his mental structure and programming, and along the way, he faces questions about his past and identity. The story becomes more complicated when Vision runs away with a mysterious teenager; A teenager who may be his son reincarnated. In addition to creating the series, Terry Matalas also works as a showrunner and one of the directors of the project.
Critics believe that this series continues the story from where the WandaVision series ended and explores the human aspects hidden in the existence of a robot; Where the artificial becomes reality with heart, measured emotions and a clear vision, and the VisionQuest series provides an accurate picture of this path.

Critics' opinion about the VisionQuest series
Rotten Tomatoes: 33 reviews - 85% score
Metacritic: 5 reviews - 47 points out of 100
80/100 – Collider | Critic: Taylor Gates
With a rich and immersive world, a smart and daring script, and brilliant performances from veteran actors and new talent, VisionQuest is a hit in every aspect. This series is both a satisfying end to the story that began with the WandaVision series and an exciting start to a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
50/100 – The Hollywood Reporter | Critic: Angie Hahn
The series is at its best when it focuses solely on the main characters and explores the dynamics of their relationships. However, the VisionQuest series has other concerns and doesn't have enough ideas to address them.
50/100 – IndieWire | Critic: Ben Travers
But like many strictly hero-centric characters under the control of a studio specializing in children's fiction, Vision's emotional journey lacks depth and complexity. From the very first minute, it is clear what he should do, but the solution to this problem, like a complicated puzzle, is postponed until about the 300th minute.
40/100 – Variety | Critic: Alison Herman
The series plays with some clever ideas, the visual presentation of which is particularly impressive. However, the images and visual effects of the work are under a large amount of complex story background and abstract concepts. As a result, the VisionQuest series ends up dealing with the same problem that Vision itself grapples with: an artificial being that tries to communicate with its emotions, but most of the time fails to do so.
30/100 – Rolling Stone Critic: David Fair
This whole series looks like proof number one for the claim that creators are now actually producing expensive, flashy entertainment that has a niche audience. This series can only be liked by fans of two fire or one robot.
