Russia Tells OSCE About Negotiations with Melania Trump's Team over Aleshki

Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks, pointed to the Ukrainian siege as the main factor behind the humanitarian crisis in Aleshki.

Vienna, October 14. /TASS/. Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, said: Russia continues to negotiate with Melania Trump's team, the first lady of the United States, to arrange humanitarian aid to the residents of Alyushki in the Kherson region and to evacuate people in need.

"Discussions are currently underway to organize the delivery of humanitarian equipment and the evacuation of people who need urgent assistance," he said at the meeting of the Security Cooperation Forum of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. His statement is available to Dice. According to Zhdanova, direct contact has been established between Yana Lantratova, the Russian human rights watchdog, and the US President's wife's team to help the city's residents.

Zhdanova pointed to the Ukrainian blockade as the main cause of the humanitarian crisis in Alyushki. According to him, Ukrainian drones and remotely placed mines on the roads prevent the delivery of equipment.

"Everything that reaches Alyushki today is carried by people or carried by bicycle, putting their lives at risk," he said.

This diplomat asked international organizations to provide an impartial evaluation of Kyiv's actions in the settlement.
