Dezful greenhouses are ready for El Nino risks essay

Ahvaz - Director of Agricultural Jihad of Dezful city announced the implementation of preventive measures and securing the production units of the greenhouse complex of this city in order to deal with the possible dangers of the El Nino phenomenon.

According to Mehr reporter, Behrouz Qamarzadeh said in a media interview this Saturday morning: Considering the weather forecasts and the possibility of heavy rains and floods caused by the El Nino phenomenon, the monitoring and evaluation of the accident-prone points was put on the agenda and the condition of the upstream flood path and the seasonal river adjacent to the Dezful greenhouse complex was carefully evaluated.

He added: dredging operation, repair of damaged points in the earth dam of the complex, as well as strengthening of the flood dam on the west side of the greenhouse complex were followed up and implemented in order to protect the production units.

Director of Agricultural Jihad of Dezful city stated: In addition to construction measures, coordination meetings were held with the CEO of Mehr 27 Cooperative and technical recommendations were given regarding the necessity of constructing additional dams and the importance of insurance for greenhouse structures.

Qamarzadeh stated: With the coordination of the special governor of the city and the crisis headquarters, all the devices and operators of the complex are on full alert.
