Fireworks closed the Hajduk-Ajax match!
The scary and strange fireworks of Haiduk Split fans caused the players of this team and Ajax to leave the field.
According to "Verzeh Se", Hajduk Split hosted Ajax at home on Thursday night in the framework of the first week of the group stage of the European Conference League and managed to win 1-2 against this team in a very controversial and full of margin game and keep three very important and valuable points at home.
The tensions before the meeting of these two teams in the European Conference League were reflected in the extremely passionate atmosphere of the stadium, and the Croatian fans were cheering their favorite team with the utmost excitement and enthusiasm from the very first minute. However, the use of incendiary materials and smoke devices created a thick cloud of smoke that caused the match to be stopped in the 76th minute.
The players went to the dressing room, but returned to the pitch a few minutes later to play the final minutes of the match, which was won by Hajduk Split. However, it seems that this will have consequences for this Croatian club and UEFA may take disciplinary action against them.
This is despite the fact that the fans of this team faced many criticisms before this game because of chanting racist slogans. Published images show that they used "German Nazi" signs and slogans. The images were published less than 24 hours after police arrested dozens of people to prevent violent clashes between hundreds of fans of the two rival teams in Split.
During the past years, the Croatian Football Federation has faced suspensions and disciplinary fines many times due to the racist behavior of its fans.
