Mazyar Lorestani Returns to Directing After Six Years; Comedy Film in the Works

Mazyar Lorestani speaks about his return to directing after six years, saying the comeback is a happy and joyful development for him.

Maziar Lorestani told Mehr reporter about the telefilm he has just finished directing for Simafilm: I have directed a telefilm called "Finally" which has a comedy story and these days it is going through the technical and post-production stages.

Referring to the story of this film, he explained: The story of this film is from a book that is going to be published soon, and it is my second book. My first book "Superman of the Third World" was a collection of short stories that was published in March of last year at the same time as the bombing by Khaze Publishing House. Fortunately or unfortunately, its first edition has ended during this period. My second book titled "Dreams of the Middle East" is also a collection of short stories that is ready to be published, and the story of the movie "Finally" is one of the stories in that book.

Lorestani added: "Finally" is about a funny story that happens to a family. I suggested making this work with Cimafilm, which was welcomed.

Referring to the cooperation of Simafilm in the construction of this project, he said: Thank God, Simafilm managers helped in the construction of the project. This film was produced by Morteza Razzaq Karimi and has a comedy atmosphere.

In another part of his talk about his activities in the field of directing, this artist stated: Previously, I had directed 6 telefilms and a children's television series, and I am happy that I started directing again after about 6 years. It was a good thing to make this work, but I prefer to talk about the details of the director and the film until the release of the work.

In the end, Lorestani said: In addition to working in the field of theater and directing plays, I also published books and continued my activities in various artistic fields.
