According to Ambassador Arjan of Ilna, a minibus carrying night shift workers of the Mahabad sugar factory, which was moving from the direction of Miandoab, collided with a Nissan van carrying grapes near the "Qazalgopi" highway of Mahabad.

According to the received reports, in this incident, a worker named "Ruhullah" from Miandoab and one of the workers of the welding department lost his life.

Also, 12 passengers of the minibus, along with the driver of the Nissan, were also injured, including head and shoulder fractures. All the injured have been transferred to Imam Khomeini Hospital in Mahabad for medical treatment.
