Snoop Dogg's First Daughter Character, Cori Broadus, Joins Animated Series Doggyland: Fulfilling a Childhood Dream (Exclusive)

Broadus voices Maxine, a character she also helped create, in the series about a group of dogs who sing, rap and dance to fun, educational songs that promote social-emotional and cognitive development in young children.

Snoop Dogg's daughter Corey Bervados fulfilled her childhood dream by starring in Doggyland, the 3D children's animated series created by her father.

This is the animated debut for Broadus, who plays Maxine, a confident and cunning Labradoodle, in the series created by Snoop Dogg, Emmy-nominated producer and creator Claude Brooks, and Grammy-winning artist and producer October London. Doggyland is also the beginning of a dream for the actor who has dreamed of becoming a part of the world of children's animation for two decades. As a youngster, he auditioned for the animated series The Backyardigans, but did not get the role. Now, he's only voicing a character now, but he also helped create him.

Lucian Pian, former music producer for "RuPaul's Drag Race," has died at the age of 46.

Bervados worked alongside Brooks throughout the character development process, helping to shape Maxine's character, appearance, and spirit. The 27-year-old describes the character as "an extension of her inner child" - bold, playful, expressive and unapologetically herself. Maxine makes her debut in the music video for "You're Enough," the title track from Doggy Land's latest full-length album.

"I'm so excited to be a part of Doggyland and bring Maxine to life," Brovados said. "I love that she's confident, a little sassy, and encourages kids to be themselves. 'You Are Enough' is a special message because I want all kids to know that they are perfect right now, just who they are."

Doggyland features a cast of dogs that sing, rap and dance to fun and educational songs that promote social-emotional and cognitive development in young children. Since its inception in 2022, Doggyland has produced a variety of educational songs about affirmations, letters, numbers, colors, animals, good habits and acceptance of others. The series focuses on delivering positive messages through music and stories, making learning an enjoyable experience for young viewers.

“Looking back at where we are now with Doggyland and everything, it's wild,” said Snoop Dogg (whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr.). When Corey was just a bitter puppy, he always talked about how he wanted to be part of a cartoon, and now here we are. He is not only a cartoon character, but one that he himself helped create. What we have here is a beautiful, full-circle moment, and I'm so proud to be a part of it as her father. Maxine has Corey's confidence, his personality and a bit of that secret element. I'm talking about bed bugs. Even better, Maxine is on record with that positive Doggyland message. She is here to teach kids to love themselves because you are enough just the way you are. Life lesson!

Broadus is also a professional DJ who performs under the pseudonym Princess Broadus and an entrepreneur working in the worlds of beauty, fashion and music, with an increasing focus on building brands and experiences that challenge traditional ideas of identity and culture.

The message behind Maxine's debut in You Are Enough is said to be at the heart of Doggieland's mission. Maxine encourages young viewers to embrace their individuality, reminding them that they don't need to change themselves to be worthy, lovable or enough.

Maxine's debut came after the introduction of Banjo Bucky, voiced by country singer Jake Tankersley.
