Former Eagles CB Asante Samuel calls out coach Nick Sirianni after brutal London loss: "You lost the game."

Asante Samuel rips Nick Sirianni for the skycap jump that let the Jacksonville Jaguars run a surprise onside kick, catching the Eagles completely off guard.

"I said if your last name was Dakich, you'd be a quarterback at Bowling Green State, which isn't bad. You'd be riding high, but I saw it in high school. I saw the ball come out of your hand. I saw it all. And I said, he's not that good."

The Philadelphia Eagles flew all the way across the Atlantic to hand the victory to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not surprisingly, former All-Pro cornerback Asante Samuel has seen enough.

With eight seconds left, a one-point lead, and a Squib layup sealed it. Instead, Nick Siriani gave Jacksonville a comeback and a surprise win.

Speaking on "Say What Needs to Be Said," Samuels pointed Sunday's 17-19 loss squarely at Philadelphia's head coach.

"You lost the game for your team," Samuel said. "Of course, the team was going to be behind him and say no coach, it's not up to you, it's up to us." But all the coach had to do was call a skid kick. Hitting at the end of the game is normal and has been done all along."

He burned Samuel Siriani because of his lack of awareness in the time of crisis.

"Nick Siriani probably had a brain malfunction and didn't care if he lost that position," Samuel said. "There's no way your team is going to fight that hard, and you let your team down by not making sure you made the right call."

That mistake wiped out what should have been a big win on the road. Philadelphia took a 17-16 lead after Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith were injured before Jake Elliott's 48-yard field goal with eight seconds left.

Jacksonville's Ameer Abdullah responded by getting a clean kickoff, ripping a 53-yard punt return and setting up Cam Little's 57-yard run as time expired.

The loss dropped Philadelphia to 2-3 and propelled the Yags to their third straight victory.

Siriani fell on his sword after the final whistle on Sunday.

Siriani told reporters: I didn't make the right decision and we lost that game. And this is what I told our children. The thing that hurts there is the guys fought so hard and then I don't make the decision I need to make at the end of the game and it costs us that game and I put it entirely on myself.

When asked why Philadelphia had eight seconds left on the board before Elliott's snap, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made it clear that the game management was out of his control.

"It's not my place and we're ready, I'm ready as a quarterback don't worry," Mehrts told reporters on Monday. When I'm up at night, yeah, I'm thinking, 'Man, should I have said something or should I have taken a step back and said, 'Wait'? But ultimately, there's a commitment to it and going out there and performing. So that was one of those things that didn't work in our favor.''

Siriani doubled up on Monday, extinguishing any idea that Hurts should have ignored the sideline.

"Jalen is playing," Siriani told reporters. We're coaching and calling plays, and Jalen has to execute 100 percent of what we're calling at that moment. We don't want him to make the play calls in that scenario. He's worried enough now to go out and execute. In that situation we were there."
