Esteghlal's Latest Champion vs. Al-Gharafa (Photo)

Esteghlal's national team defender shone on one of the host team's last and most dangerous attacks.

According to "Varzeh Se", there was nothing left for Esteghlal to lose two critical points in the Asian Elite League, that too in the last moments of the game. Sohrab's students, who with a 2-1 advantage against Al-Gharafa, made their host apply maximum pressure on the Blues' goal to reach a tie, faced a scene in stoppage time that made the Uzbek defender the star of the team.

It was in the 90+5th minute that the Qataris sent the ball into the Esteghlal area on a free kick. In that crowd, Habib Farabbasi also came out of the gate to repel the ball above all the defenders and the opponent's attackers, but his defense was done in the most imperfect way possible to create a dangerous situation.

While Habib was not inside his goal, the Qatari striker decided to pass the ball over everyone's head and into the goal with a technical kick due to the crowding of that spot. He was succeeding when, at the last moment, Rostam Ashurmatov was able to pull the ball off the line with a header and keep Esteghlal's win.

It can be said that on a night when Esteghlal won a hard but sweet victory to be in the second place in the group round table for the time being only because of the goal difference, Rostam Ashurmatov recorded the last sequence of a team whose every member had put in all their efforts to win.
