Member of the Parliament's Energy Commission: After the war, the American household became $2,000 poorer due to the increasing inflation of fuel and high prices of goods/ 40% jump in the price of diesel in Europe
The representative of the people of Gorgan and Aqqla in the Islamic Council said: Washington's warmongering policies have directly targeted the table of Western citizens, in only about eight months of the American war against Iran, an average American household has become poorer by nearly 2,000 dollars due to the increasing inflation of fuel and the price of goods.
According to Ambassador Arjan Ramzan Ali Sangdwini, a member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council, referring to the rapid developments in the world market of petroleum products and the diesel crisis in Europe and America, he said: Diesel is the lifeblood of the world economy, transportation of goods, industrial and agricultural machinery. Today, authoritative global reports, including the International Energy Agency, clearly warn that the lack of diesel supply will continue at least until 2027. The undeniable fact is that the world economy is facing a deep shock in the supply of basic fuels, and the reserves have decreased drastically, and they are not able to respond to the demand.
According to Hane Mellat, referring to the extreme fluctuations in the price of oil and refined products, he added: the increase in sensitivities and special traffic conditions in the Strait of Hormuz has brought the global oil market into a new phase. While Brent crude oil has crossed $109 in global markets, the price of physical oil has reached $140-150 per barrel. This deep gap between physical and paper prices shows the serious fear of large consumers of blockage or insecurity in the main arteries of the world's energy supply.
Criticizing the short-term and hasty actions of the West to curb prices, Sangdwini said: Trump and the US government are trying to control prices by releasing 100 million barrels of emergency reserves, it is only a temporary solution. The main problem is that America's strategic reserves of oil and products are running out and going downhill; the pressure on countries such as Germany and France to release their diesel reserves is fumbling in the deadlock that the Western governments themselves have created with sanctions and warmongering. Because Europe's refining capacity has also dropped drastically due to stoppages and major repairs, and there is no substitute for the shortages.
Emphasizing that the price of military adventures and security pressures are paid directly from the people's pockets, the member of the parliament's energy commission pointed out that war-mongering and inciting conflicts in the West Asian region and enmity with the peace, civilization and people of Iran have put the world's energy security at risk and put the heaviest cost on the shoulders of ordinary citizens all over the world.
Referring to the statistics in the United States, the representative of the people of Gorgan and Aqqla in the Islamic Council said: Economic data shows that Washington's warmongering policies have directly targeted the tables of Western citizens, in only about eight months of the American war against Iran, an average American household has become poorer by nearly 2,000 dollars due to the increasing inflation of fuel and high prices of goods. In Europe, the jump in the price of diesel has reached over 40% and has directly caused the food basket to become more expensive, disrupting the transportation of goods and the real income of the people.
In the end, Sangdwini stated: America and European countries must understand that energy security is not a one-way commodity. You can't expect a calm market and cheap fuel with the tools of sanctions, disruptions and arson in the oil hubs of West Asia. Unless the tension-causing policies are stopped, not only will the diesel crisis continue until 2027, but more intense waves of recession and inflation will engulf the fragile economy of the West.
