Morteza Sharifi Turns Up in Vietnam!

Morteza Sharifi, the power hitter of Iran's national volleyball team, has temporarily joined Ho Chi Minh City Police team to compete in the second round of Vietnam's top-tier league.

According to "Varzesh Se", Morteza Sharifi, one of the prominent figures of Iranian volleyball and one of the well-known strong women of Asia, will have a short experience in the Vietnam league in the continuation of her professional career. The police team of Ho Chi Minh City has strengthened its composition to participate in the second round of the country's club championship by recruiting this national player. Sharifi, who recently played with the Iranian national team in the finals of the Nagoya Asian Games against Japan and won the gold medal of this competition, is now going to wear the shirt of the Vietnamese team for a short time.

Referring to Sharifi's joining the team, a Vietnamese media wrote that this player is one of the important attackers of the Iranian national volleyball team and his presence can help the Ho Chi Minh City Police to win the national championship. In the first round of the competition, this team also had Ali Haqparest, another Iranian volleyball star, but he did not return to the players for the second round. The police of Ho Chi Minh City had already recruited Farhan Halim, an Indonesian player, and by recruiting Sharifi, they completed their list of foreign players for the upcoming stage.

However, Sharif's presence in Vietnam volleyball will be temporary and the player will return to his new team, Hebei Boding China, after the tournament. The second round of the Vietnam League starts on October 28 in Ho Chi Minh City and will last for less than three weeks. The police of Ho Chi Minh City, who reached the third place in the national competition last year, won the title of Hong Vong Cup 2026 this year and now, by strengthening their team, they are looking to win the championship of the upcoming competitions.
