New wave of rain arrives from tomorrow; autumn snow on the way

A meteorology expert announced that a new wave of rainfall will reach the country from Thursday, saying significant precipitation is expected in the western half of the country in the coming days, with snowfall likely in the Zagros heights.

A meteorologist announced the arrival of a new wave of rains in the country from Thursday and said: In the coming days, significant rains will occur in the western half of the country and there is a possibility of snow in the Zagros highlands.

According to the report of the Ambassador of Arjan, Mohammad Asghari, a meteorologist, explained the latest weather situation in the country, and announced the continuation of showers and thunderstorms in some provinces and said: On Wednesday (22 Mehr), based on the atmospheric instability indicators, the northern belt of Khuzestan, especially areas such as Bagh Malik and Indika, will witness showers and thunderstorms with momentary strong winds.

He added: According to the forecast of these weather conditions, farmers should take care of their crops and agricultural machinery. Also, by Friday, the occurrence of similar conditions is expected in Kerman province, especially the southern half and central areas of this province.

Advising livestock farmers to observe safety precautions in rain-prone areas, Asghari said: I request livestock farmers to refrain from grazing livestock in high areas during this period.

He continued: In addition to the mentioned areas, temporary and scattered rains will also occur in the northern half of Fars province, the western half of Yazd province, the south and west of Isfahan, the east of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, the east of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, and the heights of Tehran and Semnan.

This meteorologist warned about the possibility of slippery roads in the areas affected by the rains and stated: Considering the predicted weather conditions and the possibility of slippery roads and passages, it is necessary for drivers to drive with more caution.

He reminded: The weather conditions will be more or less similar on Thursday (October 23), but from Thursday evening, a new wave of rains will arrive from the northwest of the country.

Referring to the intensification of rains in the northwest of the country, Asghari said: It seems that on Friday, the sky of West Azerbaijan and East Azerbaijan provinces will become cloudy and rainy, and there is a possibility of issuing an orange weather warning for these two provinces on Friday.

He clarified: We should expect effective and significant rains in the western half of the country for the first days of next week and even the week after that.

This meteorological expert continued: Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Lorestan and North Khuzestan provinces will be among the prone and rainy regions in this period.

In the end, Asghari pointed out: Simultaneously with the activity of rainfall systems, the temperature will also drop in the affected areas. Therefore, snowfall for the first time in the autumn of this year in the central highlands of Zagros during this period of time is not far from expected.
