Astaneh Ashrafiyeh Prepares for Funeral of Ayatollah Ghorbani; Burial Beside the Shrine of Sultan Seyed Jalaluddin Ashraf (AS)

Referring to Ayatollah Ghorbani's responsibilities after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Heydarinejad said his valuable services included representing the people of Astaneh Ashrafiyeh and Bandar Kiashahr in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, serving as the Supreme Leader's representative in Gilan Province, and his activities in cultural, religious and propagation fields.

Referring to Ayatollah Ghorbani's responsibilities after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Heydari Nejad said: Representing the people of Astana Ashrafieh and Bandar Kiasher in the Islamic Council, the responsibility of representing the Supreme Leader in Gilan province, and activities in the cultural, religious and preaching fields were part of his valuable services.

According to the report of Arjan Gilan Ambassador, Rahmat Heydari Nejad, Governor of Astana Ashrafieh, during the coordination meeting of the funeral and burial ceremony of Ayatollah Zainul Abdin Ghorbani, referring to the scientific, religious and revolutionary position of this late scholar, stated: Ayatollah Ghorbani was one of the prominent scientific and religious figures of Gilan province who was devoted to education, study and research until the end of his life and worked for many years in the path of fighting the Pahlavi regime and strengthening the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Referring to the beginning of the revolutionary activities of the deceased in 1330, he added: Ayatollah Ghorbani was arrested several times because of his speeches and campaigns.

He was also one of the students of Ayatollah Boroujerdi and Imam Khomeini (RA) and benefited from the presence of the elders of the seminary. Referring to Ayatollah Ghorbani's responsibilities after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Heydari Nejad said: Representing the people of Astana Ashrafieh and Bandar Kiasher in the Islamic Council, the responsibility of representing the Supreme Leader in Gilan province, and activities in the cultural, religious and preaching fields were part of his valuable services. The governor of Astana Ashrafieh listed the pursuit of people's demands and efforts to solve the province's problems as other characteristics of this late scholar and noted: Ayatollah Ghorbani had a close relationship with the people and because of his hometown and history of representing the city, he had a special place among the citizens of Astana Ashrafieh. Preparation of executive bodies for Heidari Nejad's ceremony, referring to the announcement of public mourning in Gilan province, he said: Executive, law enforcement, and service providers should, with full coordination, provide the ground for holding a regular ceremony in honor of this scientific and religious personality.

He added: Informing and providing grounds for the presence of people from the central part to the port of Kiashahr, providing security for the event, deploying emergency and fire brigades, and managing the traffic and movement of the participants are among the actions that must be done with full preparation. Funeral from Basij Center to Holy Shrine According to the announcement of Ayatollah Zeinul Abdin Ghorbani's funeral headquarters, the funeral ceremony of this late scholar will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, from Basij Center Astana Ashrafiya to the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Sultan Seyyed Jalaluddin Ashraf (AS). The body of the deceased will be buried in the main portico of the entrance of the Holy Shrine, next to the tomb of the late Ayatollah Aminian.
