“Janfada” in Gilan: Homeland Is the Common Ground of Generations

Langarud – The “Janfada” maneuver in Gilan reflects the solidarity of various segments of the public, from young people with diverse views to other groups in society, all of whom consider Iran their shared homeland.

Ambassador Arjan of the Provinces Group - Fatemeh Emirim: "Janfada" campaign, centered on the presence and participation of the people in defending the homeland, has become a platform for representing the sense of belonging to Iran and emphasizing national commonalities; A movement that, by holding parades and public gatherings in the main squares of cities, has shown a new manifestation of the presence of different strata of society in the national scenes and has once again put the issue of social solidarity, citizen's responsibility and the relationship between individual identities and national belonging in the spotlight.

In Gilan, a land with a rich history of struggle, standing and the presence of people in historical situations, this campaign continues in a situation where the shadow of war, economic pressures and worries caused by foreign threats have affected the daily life of the people. In such an environment, the presence of citizens with different age, taste, clothing and views together is more than just an image of a street gathering, it is an opportunity to reread the concept of Iran as the common home of Iranians and to examine the social capacities to overcome difficult conditions.

What is important in this is the coming together of people who may not agree with each other on many social, cultural and political issues, but they emphasize their commonality in the matter of belonging to the land and concern for its future. The presence of women, youth and different generations in this movement reminds us from a social point of view that national identity can be a basis for dialogue, empathy and cooperation among diverse groups of society; A capacity that becomes more important in difficult days.

The Janfada campaign in Gilan is also associated with the memory of the dead who, according to the reports, died during the Ramadan war. The death of 65 citizens of Gilani, in the narrative of these days, is a reminder of the human costs of war and the importance of maintaining security, peace and social cohesion; An issue that highlights the need to pay attention to public empathy and shared responsibility for the future of the country.

In the meantime, the narrative of young people who are present in public gatherings despite differences in lifestyle and individual views forms another part of the social image of this campaign. From their point of view, belonging to Iran does not necessarily mean having the same beliefs and tastes, but it can be formed based on accepting differences and emphasizing common national interests. Such a view, especially in a pluralistic society, reminds us of the importance of dialogue and respect for differences while strengthening solidarity.

Now, on the eve of holding the second stage of the "Janfeda" national exercise in Gilan, attention has once again been drawn to the capacity of people to participate in public arenas; A presence that the organizers see as an opportunity to show empathy and social cohesion. This stage is supposed to be held on Thursday at 15:00 with the participation of different people across the province; An event that, in addition to the field aspect, can be a platform for hearing different narratives of citizens about the concept of homeland, social responsibility and the necessity of coexistence in the shadow of national commonalities.

Finally, what can be suggested from the narratives related to life sacrifice in Gilan is the importance of Iran as a common point of citizens with different experiences and views; A commonality that maintaining and strengthening, along with recognizing differences, can help increase social trust and strengthen bonds between people. On the eve of the second stage of this exercise, Gilan will once again be the scene of the presence of citizens who participate in this movement with their own perspective and motivation, and through this passage, a new narrative of the relationship between national belonging, social responsibility and public solidarity will be formed.

Sacrificing life is an opportunity to strengthen empathy and social responsibility

"Sama Manzavi", a psychology student and cultural activist, said in a conversation with Mehr reporter: "My goal of participating in the Janfada exercise is to participate in a collective movement and show that people feel responsible for the important issues of the country and are not indifferent to the fate of their society."

He stated that people's participation in collective programs can provide a basis for strengthening social empathy and cohesion, and added: Such exercises provide an opportunity for the gathering of different sections of society, especially the youth, to show their role in social and national issues with their presence.

Referring to the importance of youth participation in such programs, this cultural activist stated: By participating in cultural and social activities, youth can strengthen the spirit of responsibility in the society and with their conscious presence, provide the context for transferring this spirit to other generations.

Referring to the social effects of the self-sacrifice exercise, Manzavi said: One of the most important effects of such programs is strengthening the sense of social belonging and increasing empathy among people. Because the presence of people with different views and experiences in a common program provides a good opportunity to strengthen social connections and solidarity.

Our biggest and most valuable partnership is dear Iran

"Nazanin Zahra Rajabinejad" is one of the youth of the second generation of the revolution, who, despite the difference in clothing, attends public gatherings, participates in the "Jan Fada" exercise, and considers the homeland above everything else.

He said in a conversation with Mehr reporter about the self-sacrifice exercise: "We are looking for cooperation, and our biggest and most valuable cooperation is dear Iran."

Rajabinejad added: "Obviously, anyone whose heart beats for the homeland, regardless of their differences of opinion, will be present side by side with other martyrs."

Pointing out that this exercise is a sign of the authority of Iran's flag and holy land, he clarified: Iran belongs to all Iranians and what brings us together is love for the homeland and a sense of responsibility for the future of this land. In such events, individual differences and tastes should not hinder people's empathy and companionship; Because the defense of Iran's homeland and pride is beyond differences of opinion.

Emphasizing the role of the young generation in maintaining national unity, this young activist said: the presence of young people in the self-sacrifice exercise shows that belonging to Iran is not limited to a particular group or taste, and everyone can walk with their own views and beliefs, alongside other Iranians, to make their country proud.

In the end, he emphasized: What is important is maintaining unity and empathy in the path of defending Iran and building a better future for this land. Because Iran is the common home of all of us and protecting its dignity and pride is considered a common responsibility.
