Kazemi: Cognitive Warfare Aims to Undermine Public Will

QAZVIN – A political analyst described cognitive warfare as one of the key arenas of confrontation with Iran and stressed the need to counter disheartening narratives and highlight the achievements of resistance.

According to Mehr reporter, Abbas Kazemi on Thursday night in the crowd of people present at the Taleqani intersection of Qazvin, congratulating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH), drew attention to the role of Iranian women in standing up after the martyrdom of their family members and said: the women of this land did not put down the flag of standing up during the recent wars, despite the loss of their children, wives and other family members.

Referring to the families who lost their loved ones in the recent attacks, he said: The patience and endurance of these families and their continued presence on the scene is a manifestation of social stability, the dimensions of which should be narrated for future generations.

People's resistance is one of the important factors in the failure of the enemy

Referring to the extent of the recent wars and the damages caused to the country, this expert on political issues added: During this period, senior military commanders and a number of officials of the country were martyred. Each of these events could have serious consequences for the political and military structure of the country, but I believe that the continued presence of the people and maintaining social cohesion have been important factors in the country's passing through these conditions.

Referring to statements attributed to American officials about years of planning for a military confrontation with Iran, Kazemi said: According to him, America and its allies had prepared for various military and political scenarios and expected that the Islamic Republic would face serious problems in a short period of time.

Stating that the dimensions and consequences of recent developments may become clearer with the passage of time, he considered the continuous presence of people in gatherings as one of the effective components in maintaining internal cohesion and stated: People have also been present in difficult economic and livelihood conditions, and this presence, in his view, shows the importance of public will in the country's developments.

cognitive warfare; An important arena in confrontation with Iran

In another part of his speech, Kazemi emphasized the importance of cognitive warfare and said: In addition to the military arena, attention should also be paid to cognitive warfare; According to him, it is an arena in which, by publishing certain narratives, the will of the society is weakened and doubts are created about the country's abilities and future.

Criticizing the viewpoints that recommend accepting political concessions and retreating from the US in the face of threats, he stated: Some currents, by highlighting the necessity of maintaining survival at any cost, talk about accepting agreements that, in his opinion, can lead to the loss of a part of the country's independence and achievements.

Referring to the historical contracts of Golestan and Turkmanchai, this political expert added: the historical experience of ceding land and heavy concessions cannot be ignored, and in the current situation, withdrawal is the only way forward based on existing difficulties.

Emphasizing the necessity of carefully examining political proposals and positions, he said: political and media activists should distinguish between criticizing performances and promoting despair and not allow narratives based on fear to influence the society's assessment of the country's capabilities and capacities.

Emphasis on domestic capacities in the field of defense

Referring to the country's defense capabilities, Kazemi said: In his opinion, an important part of Iran's capabilities used in defensive and offensive operations was the result of internal capabilities. A capacity that has been developed in the past years and has been used in recent developments.

He also claimed that Iran's attacks on some US military bases in the region have caused some problems in the other side's calculations and added: In his view, recent military developments have affected international assessments of Iran's defense capabilities.

Referring to the attack on the Minab school and the martyrdom of the students, this speaker emphasized the need to pay attention to the human dimensions of war and reflect the consequences of military attacks and said: Narrating these events and conveying their dimensions to public opinion is part of the responsibility of the media and cultural activists.

Regional and international capacities should be considered

Referring to the reactions in some countries of the region to the martyrdom of the martyred leader, Kazemi spoke about the presence of protesters in front of the American consulate in Pakistan and the holding of related ceremonies in Iraq, and considered these events as a sign of the cross-border capacities of solidarity with Iran.

Emphasizing the necessity of paying attention to cultural, social and political capacities in the region, he said: In his opinion, public interactions and reactions of public opinion in different countries can be effective in political and international equations, and civilian and social capacities should not be ignored in the analysis of developments.

This expert on political issues also mentioned the internal developments of America and political differences in this country and said: From his point of view, the consequences of war and differences within the political structure of America can affect the political atmosphere of this country.

Maintaining the presence of people in the field while paying attention to economic problems

Referring to the country's economic difficulties, Kazemi clarified: the current conditions have put pressure on people's lives and these problems cannot be ignored; However, he believes that economic pressures should not become a factor to weaken social hope.

Stating that the country needs patience and stability in passing through difficult situations, he said: Iranian people have faced serious problems and pressures at different times, and from his point of view, maintaining social solidarity can play a role in overcoming crises.

The speaker also warned against what he called the attempt to turn economic grievances into a political and security crisis, and emphasized the need to be vigilant against narratives that, according to him, are published with the aim of weakening internal cohesion.

In the end, Kazemi thanked the organizers and attendants of popular gatherings in Qazvin, described the continuous presence of people in the square as an effective measure to defend the country's independence, honor and dignity, and emphasized the necessity of maintaining social readiness and continuing people's participation in the upcoming developments.
