Enemy Seeks to Undermine Public Beliefs by Distorting Facts

Shiraz – The custodian of the holy shrine of Shahcheragh (AS), stressing the role of explanatory jihad in countering cognitive warfare, said the enemy seeks to shake public beliefs and render society passive by distorting facts and misrepresenting the truth.

According to Mehr reporter, Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ibrahim Kalantari, during the Jihad explanation meeting of this Holy Shrine, congratulated Hazrat Zainab Kabri (pbuh) on her blessed birthday, and introduced this noble lady as an outstanding model for Jihad explanation and enlightenment and said: If we want to understand the importance of Jihad explanation, the incident of Karbala and the enlightenment of Hazrat Zainab Kabri (pbuh) is the best example and guide for us.

Pointing out that the enemies in the Karbala incident thought that they had put an end to the flow of truth and the guardianship of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) forever, he added: "Thanks to the efforts and enlightenment of Hazrat Zainab Kabri (PBUH), today, after about 1400 years have passed, the greatness of the Karbala incident and the righteousness of the front of truth have been revealed more than in the past, and the world is benefiting from her statements and messages."

Stating that today the country is facing war in various fields, the guardian of the sacred shrine of Hazrat Shahcheragh (a.s.) said: In addition to the military war, the economic war is also at its peak and the security war is also going on. In such a situation, we must understand the importance of explanation jihad.

By raising the question of what is the importance of explanation jihad, Kalantari answered: Explanation jihad is the main weapon and the main field of countering the enemy's cognitive warfare. In military war, weapons, missiles, warplanes, radars and military forces are present in the field, but in cognitive war, the enemy's weapon is to distort reality and show the truth upside down.

He continued: The enemy is trying to put falsehood instead of truth, change the position of the murderer and martyr, and target his beliefs by confusing and shaking the audience's mind.

The guardianship of the holy shrine of Hazrat Shahcheragh (a.s.) stated: When a person's beliefs are shaken, his will and motivation are also damaged, and he may no longer have the necessary strength and motivation to be in the field to confront the enemy. This is the goal of cognitive warfare; It means shaking beliefs and making people passive.

Explaining the truth is the basis for the establishment of faith and perseverance

Explaining the nature of explanation jihad, Kalantari said: At the opposite point of cognitive warfare is explanation jihad; It means uncovering the truth and portraying the reality in front of the audience, using clear expression, reasoning, detailed explanation and appropriate examples to convince the audience.

Pointing to the connection between knowledge, faith and perseverance, he added: Explanation is effective when the truth is properly clarified for the audience and this knowledge is established in human existence. Faith and perseverance are also related to such knowledge; In such a way that man stays on the right path based on his beliefs.

Referring to the biography of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (pbuh), the guardianship of the holy shrine of Hazrat Shahcheragh (pbuh) noted: After the death of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), Hazrat Siddiqa Kabri (pbuh) became enlightened in the most difficult conditions and displayed an outstanding example of courage, timing, eloquence and eloquence.

He added: By studying the Fadakiyeh sermon of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (pbuh) and the sermons of Hazrat Zainab Kobri (pbuh), one can understand the depth of these enlightenments and the place of explanation in defense of the truth.

Explaining Jihad is the duty of every member of the society

Emphasizing the necessity of public participation in Jihad of explanation, Kalantari stated: We should not think that in order to carry out Jihad of explanation, we must have a large crowd sitting in front of us or have a large platform at our disposal; Every person can enlighten someone, brother, friend, classmate or colleague.

He added: Jihad of explanation is a common duty and every person can play a role in this field according to his capacity and position. If each of us explains the facts correctly in our family and among our friends and neighbors, this trend can continue and become a comprehensive social movement.

Rereading history to understand the difference in the conditions of Iran today

In another part of his speech, the guardianship of the holy shrine of Hazrat Shahcheragh (a.s.) pointed to the historical developments of Iran and the loss of parts of the country's land in the past periods and stated: In order to understand today's realities, we must study history properly and not allow distorted narratives to change our perception of the country's conditions.

Referring to the advance of Russian forces towards Tehran in the past historical periods and the imposition of agreements that led to the ceding of parts of Iran's territory, he said: At that time, the country was facing a situation where foreign forces were gradually advancing and finally the Iranian government was forced to accept the imposed agreements.

Comparing those conditions with the current state of the country, the police station added: It should be noted that the conditions of Iran today are different from the past and one cannot judge the situation of Iran without considering the historical developments, the country's capacities and the current conditions.

Referring to the position of leadership in the contemporary developments of Iran, he emphasized the difference between today's conditions and the Qajar period and said: In the history of Iran, the conditions of the country's leadership have not been the same in different periods. Correct understanding of these differences is necessary to analyze today's realities.

The calculation error of the enemy and the need to know the country's capabilities

Referring to the military power of the United States and the presence of warships and planes of this country in the region, the guardian of the holy shrine of Hazrat Shahcheragh (a.s.) said: The military power of the United States should not be evaluated only by its ships and planes. The Islamic Republic of Iran is also experiencing different conditions based on its belief, internal capacities and what Nusrat Elahi knows.

Criticizing some analyzes about the necessity of Iran's submission to the US, he emphasized: the assessment of the country's conditions should be based on a precise knowledge of the existing realities and capacities, not based on the image presented by the enemy or currents aligned with its narratives.

Referring to the experience of nuclear negotiations and the JCPOA, Kalantari criticized some political promises about lifting sanctions and removing the shadow of war from the country and said: "We should examine past experiences and be aware of the consequences of analyzes and promises that are made about the country's fundamental issues."

He also pointed to some political developments of the past years, including the events of 2008 and subsequent protests and unrest, and emphasized the need to pay attention to the link between political narratives, social perceptions and the formation of public beliefs.

Clarifying facts against distorted narratives

Referring to the presence of people in the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader and the statistics about the number of people who have declared their readiness to defend the country, the police station said: these signs should be taken into account in the analysis of the society's conditions, and the social capacities and the level of association of the people with the country should not be ignored.

Criticizing the analyzes that, according to him, ignore the social realities and capacities of the country, he stated: Decision-making and judgment about the future of the country must be based on accurate knowledge of the facts; Because neglecting internal capacities and the consequences of decisions can lead to irreparable damages.
