Two security personnel were killed in a Houthi missile attack on the presidential palace in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden, which is the seat of the internationally recognized government.

Information Minister Muammar al-Ariani told the BBC that the prime minister and other ministers were not injured after five ballistic missiles hit the Al-Meshikh Palace, but many others were injured.

Houthi media reported that the group targeted the "headquarters of military operations led by Saudi officers" as well as weapons depots.

Neighboring Saudi Arabia backs the government and is providing air support for a major offensive by pro-government forces against the Iran-backed Houthis.
