Deputy Medical Officer: If a power plant is attacked, it does not shut down an area
The executive vice president said: "The efforts of the government in the field of renewable energy development are such that there will be no blackouts next year, or at least the amount of blackouts will be minimized."
The executive vice president said: "The efforts of the government in the field of renewable energy development are such that there will be no blackouts next year, or at least the amount of blackouts will be minimized."
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Mohammad Jaafar Qaimpanah, in the opening ceremony of the water and electricity industry projects of East Azerbaijan, referring to the water and electricity disputes, he said: due to the lack of rainfall, especially in cities like Tabriz, Tehran and some other big cities of the country, we were facing problems in water supply, but fortunately, with the grace of God and the management's tact, the people did not feel the lack of water.
Emphasizing the importance of sewage and its treatment, he added: The establishment of sewage network and treatment plants is a serious environmental issue and one of the main demands of people in all cities. If urban sewage is not treated, it will penetrate into the underground water and since we have to draw from nearby wells for water supply, this issue can lead to health problems and even the risk of various diseases.
The executive vice president considered the refineries as important infrastructures for development and added: Although people may not see these infrastructures from the outside, they are very important. Sewage can be both a source of loss and a source of profit.
He reminded: Dispersion of sewage on the city surface or its penetration into the ground will definitely cause pollution, but the same sewage can be reused if properly treated.
Ghaem Panah continued: Water obtained from wastewater treatment can be very helpful, at least in industrial and agricultural uses, especially for watering unfruitful trees.
Referring to the importance of electricity in people's lives today, the executive vice president said: "Today's life is not possible without electricity, and during peak hours, we face a shortage of about 6,000 to 7,000 megawatts of electricity."
Qaim Panah expressed hope that this serious problem will be resolved with the measures that the government has initiated and will follow up on the development of renewable energy and solar energy.
Referring to the increase in electricity generation capacity from renewable energies, he said: Over the past two years, more than 6,200 megawatts of electricity have been added to the country's electricity generation capacity through renewable energies. Of course, this is only a part of the country's electricity production capacity increase, and other capacities have also been added to the electricity network.
Stating that the number of blackouts this year has decreased compared to last year, the executive vice president added: This decrease happened in the conditions that the enemy attacks had also taken place.
Enumerating the advantages of renewable energies, especially solar energy, Qaimpanah said: The first advantage of these energies is that, unlike power plants based on fossil fuels, such as combined cycle and gas power plants, they do not use fossil fuels and obtain their energy from the sun.
He also emphasized the importance of solar energy from the point of view of passive defense and stated: In my opinion, solar energy is very important from this point of view. Because if a power plant is attacked, it will not shut down an area. This type of energy can help the country a lot both in terms of environment and in terms of passive defense and grid stability.
Ghaempanah expressed hope that the government's efforts in the field of renewable energy development will go ahead in such a way that there will be no blackouts next year, or at least the amount of blackouts will be minimized.
In another part of his speech about the inaugurated projects, the executive vice president said: The projects that we are inaugurating today have a total cost of about 13 thousand billion tomans and were put into operation in the form of two sewage projects and 10 electricity projects.
Stating that these actions are being carried out throughout the country, he emphasized: These projects are being implemented in a situation where we are exposed to the attacks of the criminal enemy of America, and these actions are a response to all the insults that the enemy does.
