The film's trailer, featuring Ali Wong, Amanda Seyfried, Stephanie Hsu, and Nicky Gelser, was also released Thursday morning.

Jenny is set to headline the upcoming Netflix anime Steps with a new song.

Netflix announced the soundtrack for the animated comedy adventure on Thursday, written and produced entirely by prolific songwriter Justin Tranter. Global pop star and BLACKPINK member Jenni will lead the film's soundtrack with new song 'Someone to Hold'. There will be four original songs on the album, with additional vocals from Academy Award nominee Amanda Seyfried, Rose Gray and Amy, and a song by Chris Bowers.

"I'm so excited to be joining the Steps family and it's been really fun making my first song for an animated film," Jenny said in a statement. "I love the heart and personality of the characters and I'm so happy to be a part of their world. I hope you enjoy 'Steps' and 'Someone to Hold' as much as I do, and I can't wait to hear.

Blackpink Gals featuring Lisa, Rose, Jenni and Jisoo attend the Met Gala for the first time.

Tranter describes Jenny's song as "pure danceable joy" inspired by vintage pop dance, while Emei's "The Understudy" is described as "a weak anthem". Gary's song, "Meet Me on the Dance Floor" is a wicked electro dance pop song. According to the songwriter, Seyfried's "Smile and a Song" is more like an "old school musical theater look."

"The story in Steps lends itself beautifully to all kinds of sounds and sonics, and the main line of the soundtrack is the dance. The music," adds Trenter.

This announcement was released alongside the trailer of the film, which was released on Thursday morning. A preview of "Someone to Hold" is included in the trailer.
