Referring to the country's second position in date production in the world, the vice-chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce emphasized the necessity of increasing Iran's share of the export markets of this product and said: the weakness of the processing and packaging industries, high production costs and the complications of meeting the foreign exchange obligation are among the obstacles to the development of date exports, which can reduce the motivation of producers and exporters to participate in global markets.
