Iran's condition for continuing diplomacy announced / Washington's compensatory step on the table

A senior Foreign Ministry official, citing the United States' failure to implement the Islamabad memorandum's commitments, outlined new dimensions of Tehran's position.

In an interview with Al Arabi, Gharib Abadi added: Tehran is finalizing its response to the considerations and views of the American side about the plan presented by Iran in New York.

Stating that Iran will announce its final opinion after consultations through mediators, he said: "Tehran is still ready for diplomacy, provided that the issues raised are real."

Gharibabadi stated: Iran has always welcomed diplomacy and has not failed in this field and in the field of dialogue with any side.

He said: Iran's readiness to defend itself and fight is not less than the country's readiness to negotiate.

The deputy of legal and international affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: Continued participation in the talks shows Tehran's political flexibility and adherence to the diplomatic process, and America should return to fulfilling its obligations.

Gharibabadi went on to emphasize that Tehran has not violated any of its obligations and added: Washington has not fulfilled its obligations under the Islamabad MOU and should take compensatory steps in this regard.

He stated: As long as the American side has completely violated all its obligations, Iran should not be expected to show more flexibility in this regard.
