We are witnessing the release of information about the download volume and system requirements of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before its official release.

The download volume of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was determined before its release on October 23, 2026 (Aban 1, 1405). The available information shows that the Xbox version needs about 194.32 GB of storage space, while the volume of the Switch 2 version will be equivalent to 77.304 GB. Also, a list of the volume of several separate content packs of the PlayStation 5 version was made available. According to the PlayStation Game Size account, the PlayStation 5 version includes the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 package with a volume of 28.702 GB. Along with that, separate packages were considered for story, multiplayer, DMZ, and co-op content. The size of the Warzone package will be 42.033 GB and the story package will be 42.171 GB.

The published list of PlayStation 5 version packages is as follows:

Most of the listed packages come with version number 01.001.000; However, the version number of the main game is 01.109.000 and the version number of the Warzone package is 01.034.000. DMZ Pack 02 also has the version number 01.000.000, but no information about its download volume has been released yet.

You should note that the announced figures are related to the individual packages of the game and do not specify the final installation volume of all the content. Therefore, it is not possible to get the exact amount of space needed to install the game by adding up the volume of all the packages. Current information does not specify which packages overlap with each other or which items will be required to run each game mode.

The Xbox version with an approximate volume of 194.32 GB is placed in the current list and has the highest download volume among the figures announced for different platforms. Of course, it is expected that the Xbox version, like the PlayStation 5 version, will provide the possibility to download different parts of the game separately. On the other hand, the download volume of the Switch 2 version is much smaller. Of course, this difference alone is not enough to draw conclusions about the final size of the installation or the difference in the content of the different versions.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 game will be released on October 23, 2026 (Aban 1, 1405) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch 2. Infinity Ward studio is in charge of developing this first-person shooter title, and Activision will be the publisher. The story of the game revolves around a geopolitical crisis that begins with a massive invasion of the Korean peninsula. In addition to military conflicts, the narrative of the game also includes secret operations and the return of familiar characters; Characters who get involved in the expansion of tensions and the complication of international conflicts.
