Comprehensive Renovation Plan for Hosseiniyeh Azam Neighborhood in Zanjan Approved

ZANJAN – The Director General of Endowments and Charitable Affairs of Zanjan Province announced the approval of the comprehensive renovation plan for the Hosseiniyeh Azam neighborhood in Zanjan by the provincial Article 5 Commission, and the start of debris removal at the complex.

According to Mehr reporter, Hojjatul Islam Mukhtar Karmi, referring to the approval of the master plan of Hosseinieh Azam Zanjan in the Article 5 commission of the province, said on Tuesday morning: "With the approval of this plan, the necessary groundwork has been provided to enter the implementation stages, and now the coordination between the responsible institutions, the participation of the people, and the support of donors are of particular importance to advance the reconstruction programs."

Kerami continued: Considering residential properties are included in the scope of implementation of the comprehensive plan, it was decided that the Neighbor Affairs Committee will hold a meeting with the participation of the General Directorate of Roads and Urban Development and the Board of Trustees of Hosseinieh Azam, and through dialogue and interaction with the residents and owners, provide the ground for the release of the required properties.

He emphasized: Interaction with neighbors and follow-up on the issue of property release is one of the necessary measures to accelerate the implementation of the comprehensive plan and should be followed in coordination with related institutions.

The beginning of the first phase of reconstruction with the demolition of Hosseinieh Azam

Director General of Endowments and Charitable Affairs of Zanjan province, referring to the beginning of the debris removal operation of Hosseinieh Azam in Zanjan, stated: The debris removal operation of this complex has been started by the private sector since Monday, October 20th, and this action is the beginning of the first phase of the Hosseinieh Azam reconstruction plan.

Karmi added: In the fourth meeting of the reconstruction headquarters, it was decided that the technical committee of the headquarters, in cooperation with the board of trustees and the consulting company, will select and introduce the executive of the first phase of the project, so that the implementation steps can proceed based on the technical planning and necessary coordination.

He added: It was also decided that the devices and institutions that have heavy machinery should participate in the debris removal operation so that this stage can be done more quickly.

Director General of Endowments and Charitable Affairs of Zanjan Province, referring to other resolutions of the reconstruction headquarters meeting, said: It was decided that the General Directorate of Roads and Urban Development will introduce suitable land for the release of parts of the master plan, and the necessary measures will be taken to change the use of the land belonging to Hosseinieh Azam, so that by selling it, part of the financial resources needed for reconstruction will be provided.

He stated that providing financial resources is one of the main axes of the implementation of the master plan, and added: According to the latest estimates, the total cost of implementing the master plan for the reconstruction of Hosseinieh Azam Zanjan in the current conditions is estimated at 2 thousand billion tomans, equivalent to 2 hemats.

Kerami stated: The main contribution to the financing of this project is based on the participation of people, benefactors and benefactors, and its realization will require the support of different sections of the society and public support.

He informed about the planning to attract the participation of religious authorities and domestic and foreign donors in the implementation of the comprehensive plan and said: It has been decided to conduct correspondence with the offices of the supreme authority in Qom and Iraq, including the office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, to participate in the construction of the library and other religious and cultural parts of this complex.

Director General of Endowments and Charitable Affairs of Zanjan Province added: Some benefactors inside and outside the country as well as non-governmental organizations have announced their readiness to participate in the reconstruction of this large religious and cultural complex, and due to the approval of the comprehensive plan, it is hoped that a more effective presence of this group of supporters and benefactors will be provided.

Referring to the necessity of using media capacities to attract public participation, Kerami said: Based on the approvals of the meeting, Zanjan Center Radio and Television, as the person in charge of the publicity and information committee, will be in charge of following up and implementing public and charitable donation campaigns.

He pointed out: Targeted information about the dimensions of the comprehensive plan, implementation stages and financial needs of reconstruction can provide the basis for wider participation of people and benefactors and be effective in advancing this important religious and cultural project of the province.
